Fire Truck & Ambulance On My Street
We all do it, we’ll be in our cars trying to get to work during morning rush-hour and we see those unmistakeable flashing lights of Fire Trucks along with at least one Ambulance, if not more. The fact is that 99% of use can’t help ourselves and it’s just in our nature to take a look at what has happened that would be important enough to have Fire and Ambulance rescue on the scene.
It’s true that we should be watching this type of spectacle while operating an automobile but as Humans we are curious by nature and it’s almost compulsory to take, at the very least, a quick look at the situation.
What to do When The Fire Department & An Ambulance Are In Front Of Your House
As soon as I saw those unmistakeable flashing lights in front of my house on the street I did what just about anyone else would do. I went outside to take a closer look and see what was going on. The Emergency services were there for my neighbors so obviously they must have called 911 and requested emergency help.
I decided that I should probably document this action so I ran back into my house, grabbed my camera and ran back outside.
I had a perfect view of everything that was taking place right from my property so I knew I couldn’t get in trouble for filming and that’s what I did, I recorded the video as well as I could for the next 15 minutes.
Ambulance EMTs Responce to the 911 Call Emergency
I continued to watch with both awe and pride welling up in me at just how professional and yet gentle the emergency responders actually were. It was already late in the evening and this could not have been the only call that this team had to respond to that day and yet they were so professional and gentle and efficient with all their actions.
I watched as they took my neighbor out on a streacher and placed her very gently in the Ambulance. They discussed some issues related to what they were doing and shortly there after they drove away. I suspect that the situation was stable as they didn’t drive away with sirens blaring or at a high rate of speed.
Political Ramifications For Emergency Responders
It was then that it dawned on me that certain Republican Governors in other States were working overtime to try and take away emergency responders rights to “Collective Bargaining.” In essence they were “union busting” in an attempt to exploit the very hard work that these folks do on a daily basis.
A feeling of disgust crept into me as I thought about this situation.
Here we have these brave people who go running into burning buildings and risk their lives by saving others at a moments notice and the GOP would like nothing more than to punish them by removing their rights to fight for a reasonable living wage for the very dangerous work they do.

These people that rescue us in our time of great need are hero’s and they deserve the best we can afford them. We should not treat them as though they were meaningless employees of the State Government.
Perhaps you yourselves have needed the services of these brave men and women and they were there for you or for your loved one. I propose we do the same in their time of need so the next time some “Know it all” Governor tries to union-bust Emergency Responders be sure to have your voice heard that you support our modern day superheros and that you’re going to stand by them and protect them from Republican zealots who care about nothing more than to line their own pockets with “donations.”

It is not right to screw the very people who risk their lives by either pulling us out of a burning building or providing medical services thus exposing themselves to, god knows what, diseases.
This is one place where cost cutting is not an option and attempting to remove rescue workers ability to unionize through “collective bargaining” is simply despicable.
