Keep in mind, that this is just an opinion and as you can plainly see, this website is a WordPress powered site. There’s a time and place for all sorts of websites and WordPress makes writing articles very convenient. After all, that’s what it was designed for.
I know there are many people using WordPress software to host a variety of non-blog type sites. I want to point out that there is nothing wrong with this and depending on the site, I sometimes use blogging software as a CMS (Content Management System) although I prefer to use Flat Press blogging software. I go into this later on in this article but primarily I like Flat Press better because it’s lighter, quicker and uses far less resources than WordPress. Ask anyone who has been doing online marketing for any extended period of time and they’ll tell you the same, Speed is king. If a website takes longer to load the viewer is much more likely to simply go to a different site instead of waiting for yours to load.
Couple WordPress’ inherent sluggishness with plug-ins and themes and widgets along with a very long list of add-on’s and your basic WordPress site can really become bogged down.
I’ve also noticed that most people these days mistakenly believe that static websites are somehow harder to rank in Google or that they are not SEO (Search Engine Optimized) this is 100% untrue and personally, I like static pages and I don’t have any trouble getting them indexed.
In truth, it all depends on what you want your site to do and what you’ll be doing with it in the future. I find WordPress to be somewhat of a toy like when I use to have a tripod account back in the 90’s. Use our free online site tools = limited customization.
Same thing with WordPress, yes there are plenty of very sleek themes out there but I’m also starting to notice that almost every site I go to these days looks almost exactly the same as every other site, there’s no personality and nothing unique about them. It’s fine if you’re not comfortable with building a website from scratch or you lack that skillset or if you want to get your site online ASAP and don’t have time to code your own site from scratch.
What I especially like about building my own site is that I know what every last bit of code is doing, I know if or where there’s a weakness and if someone exploits a weakness I’ve only got myself to blame. I can also make my site almost jump through hoops if I want it to, I can change any aspect of it at any moment and make it entirely unlike any WP site out there. Also, as far as fast indexing goes, all you have to do is to realize that you only need to include an xml version of the pages you want to serve up as bait, then ping it to your little black hearts content.
SEO simply means that your site, WordPress or Static, has all the head tags typed in. Honestly, whether you’re typing your keywords and descriptions into WordPress or a static site it’s exactly the same amount of work.
I have a number of WordPress sites, I have a couple Flat Press sites (btw, I like Flat Press better than WordPress because it’s so much faster and way more stable) but as far as sites that I actually care about I ALWAYS build my own.

Edit: If you are thinking that only blog software can be pinged to all those lovely directories and search engines then you are mistaken. You can just as easily ping a static html page/site.

Now I’m not saying not to use blog engines I’m just pointing out the drawbacks to them.
I’m also not against dynamic websites, I’ve built and modified several that were not based on Word Press.
Having said all that if I need dynamic elements on my website I will often only create dynamic elements to go along with static pages. The reason is that most web hosts have many people all using the same server for their MySql databases. If you’ve got a fully dynamic website and MySql goes down then your whole website goes down. However if you have a hybrid website it will continue to function with only the dynamic elements being inaccessible.
If most of your site works it can still retain people’s interest, if however your whole site takes 15-30 seconds to load you’re going to lose those folks and end up losing a potential sale.

There are two conditions though.
1. If you site deals with anything illegal such as offshore pharmacy drugs or anything like that then I don’t want to exchange links.
2.I don’t want to any sites that deal with child pornography or anything even remotely close to it.
As long as we understand each other I see no reason why we can’t exchange links. I will send you an email and we can discuss it. If you know how to write in English that would be nice because it is difficult for me to read Russian but if you don’t speak English then I guess this will be fine. I guess it will give me a chance to practice my Russian.
